What are your co-working facilities like?

Each space has communal areas equipped with an honesty bar stocked with snacks and drinks, sofas and chairs, along with a quiet areas for deeper focus. All areas come with printing, high speed wifi, guest announcement system and an invoicing and booking system.

Do you have an app?

Is printing available in the space?

Yes.

Yes all members are given access to ezeep printing, which makes the process quick and easy to use. ezeep is a cloud-based print server that will offer you a ‘personal printer’, this means that wherever you tap your membership card, your print will release that printer.

Can I bring my dog into the office?

Yes our space is dog-friendly!

However please ensure that your pup is relatively quiet, potty-trained and well-behaved.

We maintain a relaxed atmosphere conducive to both socialising and working.

What are your opening times?

For fully flex members, access to the work space is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

Reception is available Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm

Do you hire the venue for events?

Do I need a certain type of membership to use the

We have a variety of memberships to suit individual needs.

Small businesses, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, freelancers and students might be interested in out co-working memberships - which give you access to the ground floor co-working area and kitchen, as well as our community events, workshops and initiatives.

For larger businesses, we have a variety of private offices available, seating anywhere from 2 to 50 people.

All memberships include:

What is the WhyB Programme?

The WhyB programme is a course designed to motivate businesses as they complete their B Impact Assessment (BIA).

The WhyB programme is a course designed to motivate businesses as they complete their B Impact Assessment (BIA).  Over the course of four afternoons businesses receive the support of dedicated B leaders and trainees, a network of peers, and an inspiring environment in which to meet and work.

We run the programme in partnership with B Lab, who are themselves x+why members.

B-corps are a new type of business that balance purpose, people and profit.

Yes we offer the flexibility of day passes. They are £25 + VAT.

Is there a Referral Fee?

Yes.

Yes! We’d like to thank you for referring us to your network by rewarding you! If someone you refer signs up for a membership at x+why then you can decide whether to receive either (i) one free month’s flexible membership (available to flexible members only) or (ii) 5% of your referral’s monthly payments for up to one year deposited directly into your bank account. Printing and Post:

Every member has their own printing account through Ezeep. The costs to print are:

1p per black and white sheet | 5p per colour sheet

Franking - as per Royal Mail standard charge, currently; First Class 58p, Second Class 58p (up to 100mg)

IT:

Bandwidth is portioned to provide secure bandwidth with basic fire-walling either on a shared 100 MB service (contented with other users in the building, please see our fair usage policy) or as dedicated bandwidth should you need it. For further information please download our pricing sheet here.

Dedicated bandwidth

This is partitioned internet access from the ×+why network as an enhanced service:

50 MB = £100 pcm

100 MB = £250 pcm

£200 MB = £350 pcm

Rack space

This is space within the x+why comms room, subject to availability. Custom rack requirements can be discussed:

1U = £60 pcm

2U= £100 pcm

3 U=£150 pcm

Public IP

£15 pcm.

What Late Fees Payments?

Any Membership Fee that is paid on or after the 10th day of the month for which it was due (the due date being on or before the 5th) will attract an immediate 5% Late Fee charge. This 5% late fee will be applied monthly until the debt is settled.  By way of an example see the following:

  1. Invoice for e.g. £10,000 on 28th May for:
  2. a. £50 of disbursements for the month of May
  3. b. £9,950 membership fee for the month of June
  4. Date of payment would be no later than the 5th June
  5. If by 10th June the £10,000 has not been paid, there would be an immediate 5% Late Fee charged, so the bill would be £10,500.  On the 10th July, if the £10,500 due has not been paid then there would be an additional 0.5% charged on aggregate of (i) the £10,500 due and (ii) the new invoice due for July and disbursements for June.
Do you offer credit payment options?

Yes

Yes, should you require to set up your own personal account in order to charge back from the café and honesty bar, you can do so by informing reception. The credit facility will be auto charged on the 1st of the month, meaning no need to pay until pay day.
