We're delighted to introduce Deej Phillips, an incredible documentary filmmaker and videographer, coworking member at x+why People's Mission Hall and events partner on the Earth Flicks & Chill event series. We asked Deej his WhoWhatWhy:

First off, who are you and what do you do? 💼

Deej Phillips - Documentary Filmmaker / Videographer. I direct and produce intimate documentary films about environmental stories whilst also making video content for networks and brands like BBC Studios, Channel 4 News, The Guardian, Deutsche Welle (DW), Google Health, Microsoft and more.

What is your 'Why'❓

I'm incredibly passionate about showing people a better world is possible. I love people, nature and our planet and want us to thrive as much as possible!

Tell us something you find helpful in your working day 🤝

Getting outside! A short walk around the block, a run, a cycle in the park. Anything at all to help get back to work with a fresher mind.

Shoutout time 📣 Name a company you think are doing great things

Planet Protection. Based in x+why MK they are a start up that could be incredibly disruptive and have a humongous positive impact on our beautiful planet!

Something you are proud of in the last year and looking forward to in the next?

We have launched a short film for the first ever world glacier day! Made from footage from possibly my favourite ever day of work, filming in the mountains of Ladakh northern India. In the year to come I'm excited to film more stories closer to home, in and around London.
