What is your why?
Thats a big question thats hard to give one straight forward answer to.. but I would say my biggest why that motivates me to get up everyday and generally drives my energy, decisions and direction everyday is people. A pure passion just for the simplicity of interaction and connection with others whilst also feeling an intense passion and social responsibility for serving, taking care of and uplifting others.
What are you most excited about the launch of One Great Cumberland Place?
I am most excited to see the beautiful building come to life, to see the xandwhy family grow and the community with our members come to life .. to be able to start building the member engagement, host events for them and give the proper x+why experience.
What’s your favourite hidden gem in the local area?
Considering I went to school in Marylebone from 11-18 I should know the area quite well but shamefully I don't know many hidden gems.. something off the top of my head though is probably Boxcar Baker & Deli which is a petite little bakery that does fresh bread and pastries as well as some yummy hot breakfast/brunch dishes and just generally has a great welcoming and chilled vibe that makes you feel warm and comfortable as soon as you enter it.
Name and role:
Pierpaolo Simone, General Manager
What is your why?
Providing excellent customer experience to whoever walks in the building.
What are you most excited about the launch of One Great Cumberland Place?
The upcoming club space on the 8th floor, an opportunity to have a great lunch in a terrace overlooking Hyde Park.
What’s your favourite hidden gem in the local area?
Mercato Metropolitano at St. Mark's Church, N Audley St, London W1K 6ZA, food stalls from all over the world inside a church.
Name and role:
Nikki Powell, Community Host
What is your why?
Thirst for knowledge and making changes in my own life to positively impact others.
What are you most excited about the launch of One Great Cumberland Place?
Seeing all the new members heading in getting to know their requirements. It’s been so quiet on site so it would be great to see it busy and full of life.
What’s your favourite hidden gem in the local area?
Favourite hidden gem would be Bel Rebel it’s a beautiful perfume store around a 5–10-minute walk from GCP on Seymour Place. They have the most beautiful range of unique scents and the friendliest team. Recommend popping in!
